Good Ol' Apple Pickin'

After Jackie Rose's soccer game we went to pick some apples with good friends of ours. It was the hottest day all summer mind you. So I had already sweat 10 pounds out from the soccer game, and I think another 5 pickin' apples! It was fun and we got some great pictures. I have to say the apples wernt that great, which was a bummer. And they had no honey crisp apples. Which are my favorite. If you see them anywhere , you must buy them. Taste them , you will never go back to a normal apple again. We had a great time. It was fun hanging with our friends and watching our kids play together. We have some sweet memories from the day!

My boys!
I love this, Willie was following Jr around!

He is gonna get it, uhh, uhhh,

Ha , he got it!

Yes our traditional ham pose!
Still in their soccer gear.

So sweet, this is always the start of a very yucky double pink eye!

They are so sweet together.

Wait daddy, I gotta taste this one!

I would love to say this is the view from our new back yard. I can dream right!

Soccer Queen...

Will is so happy soccer season has started. All he has talked about since Jackie Rose was born is how HE was going to be Jackie's first coach. Sure enough, he is. The Blue Dragons got out their in the hottest of hot weather and played their little hearts out. The game is about an hour, but in Saturdays weather should have only been 30 mins. I was drenched in sweat in the first 10 minutes. I even had to take Willie to the car to cool off. He had fun, but trying to keep him off that field was impossible! Our little girl has a gift for soccer. She loves to kick that ball! Its pretty neat to see her steal that sucker from another 4/5 year old!

Look at the foot work!

Break time with Grandpa!

She was running that ball down the field!

Trying to steal that sucker!

GOAL!

Thats right, I rock!

Giving the other team a high 5!

Her team!

The O'Connells.

Four Generations of Sweetness!

Last Sunday my Nana came over to teach me how to make her fudge! I had tried to make it a few years ago when I lived in NC. It never came close to her golden fudge! My brother begs my Nana to make that fudge for him. So I figure if I learn to make it, I can finally have something to bribe him with! So after an hour, our fudge was made. I was so yummy! I cant wait to venture on my own and make this sweet treat! Maybe for the holidays! Thanks to my Nana! She is an amazing women, and it was great getting to share in a family tradition! I cant wait to pass this alone to Jackie Rose!

At its boiling point!

We couldn't let this go to waste!

Monkey See Money DO!!!!

Things have been crazy in the Gazes household the past few weeks. I started back to work full time. Jackie is back in school. The kids get up at 6:15 every morning. UHHH, its been hectic. We are struggling to get ourselves into some kind of routine! So if you have a moment, say a little pray for us! Any who, one thing we always do is eat dinner at our family table! If you know us, then you know every night with Jackie is a battle to eat! But this one particular night was different. We started a chart. If she eats her dinner, she gets a sticker. At the end of the week she will get something special. At the end of 30 days she gets to take her friend to house of bounce. Boy she cant wait for that one! Any who, Jack put some of her lovely food on her face. Willie that it was so funny and decided he waned to do it too! So here are our lovely babies having fun at dinner! Enjoy!

Are you talking to me..
OHHH , this feels good.

Yes, that one wen up my nose, ha ha .

I love this picture, she is a character.

I am a BIG GIRL now!

It happened. Today my little girl showed her momma how grown up she really is. We woke and ate our breakfast and headed off to her school. The entire way their she was so excited to see all of her friends. We got to school and she jumped out of her seat ready to head into the schools front door. I had to help her carry her bag because it was so full of all her school items she had to have. I walked her into her class room and she went and held her friends Lily's hand. It was so cute. Like she was thinking we can do this together. We hung her backpack up , met her teacher, and said our goodbyes in only a few short minutes. I wanted her to get settled, and I didn't want to hover. I gave her a sweet big girl kiss and told her to have a great day. They serve them lunches so if she doesn't like the food, she doesn't eat. But all the kids must at least try one bite. So lets all say a prayer my girl takes this year to learn to FINALLY eat a balanced diet! So I told her to take at least one bite, and she said she would. Then I met up with family for lunch. My aunt asked me how I was enjoying being back in the work force again. I said it was an adjustment on all of us. Today I had off, that is how I was able to take JR to school. I said that its hard, that today I looked in the back seat at Willie and thought how much fun we will have today having some alone time. Before I knew it , tears filled my eyes. I am just reminded how fast children grow. I miss not being able to be with the kids all day. Playing with them, teaching them, watching them grow. I swear it was just yesterday that i brought Jackie Rose home, and now she is a kindergartner! I just hope the time for Willie doesn't go by as fast! Enjoy the pictures! I cant wait to hear how her day went!
