Finish Line......

I just wanted to update everyone on yesterdays USMC Marathon! Will ran and beat his time by 25 minutes from last year! He clocked in at 5:05 . I am so proud of him! And yes, once again he didn’t train. But he pulled through. Kathy and I ran the USMC 10K race, which started 20 mins after the marathon! We beat the time we set for ourselves and clocked in at the finish line at 1:21. I am a little sore , no I didn’t train for it either. I swear I did something to my knee too, but today its just my one calf. So all in all we did great, and it was so motivating to be around the big crowds. Thanks you to Rachel and Alan, who cheered Kathy and I at the finish line. They also helped up run around the city to find Will and cheer him on. We need that extra energy to get around town chasing Will! Thanks to Bryan and Sara for coming out too and helping to cheer on Will! I have to say, you really to need to see your family/friends cheering you on. You are pushing yourself so hard, and to see a familiar face just gives you that extra burst of energy! So know that all who cheered us on , we are so grateful! It meant the world to us.

So with that said, next year’s race is October 25, 2009. My goal for next year’s race, and it’s a year’s notice people , is to have more family and friends out there to cheer us on! We could have everyone spread out to cheer at certain miles. Then at the finish line! Kathy is trying to get me to do the marathon next year with her. OMG, what is she thinking. But if I know myself my fat @#$ will be out there running. The goal of course is always to FINISH the race, but really you have to beat the bridge as they say. You need to get of the memorial bridge, which is mile 20, before they reopen it at 1pm. Yes there are a lot of people who don’t get there in time! UHHH, but I am sure with training and family/friends support we could do it.

Run Gazes' Run.......

Will and I are running the USMC marathon tomorrow. UHHH, what are we thinking. Well I am running the 10k.. aka 6.1 miles. Which I am thinking after that 13.1 miles race we just did, this she would WAY EASIER. Good lord willing. Will is running the 26.2 . UHH, he didnt train once again. So if you all can say a fast prayer to keep our bodies healthy and safe and our minds full of happy thoughts, that would be awesome! His race starts at 8 am and mine at 820.

OHHHHH RAHHHHHHH

Fall Festival

We enjoyed Jackie's annual fall festival. They had face painting, moon bouncing, cotton candy, cake walks, popcorn, pizza, petting zoo, and a pumpkin patch. We were able to hang out with Jackie's good friend, Lily. So that made it even more fun for her.

We all joined in on the cake walk after mom and dad had tried and tried to win a cake. We went home with two cakes!

Pop Pop playing peek a boo. Willie really adores his Pop Pop.

Cox Farm

We decided to go to Cox farm as a family. We had a great time. But it was way to crowed for us. We thought most kids would still be in school for the Monday holiday, but boy were we wrong. So minus the crowds and the super HOT weather, we had a great time. We didn't get to go on the hay ride, which was a bummer. But we did get to milk a cow, so that made it all OK with the kiddos!

My BIG Boy....
I love my little boy. Its been an interesting 21 months I tell ya! The other day Willie looked like he had to go poopy. So I asked and then he said, "POO POO". So we ran to the bathroom were he tinkled and pooped on the potty. I cant believe how smart my little boy is. Every time I put him the potty, he goes. So he gets it. Now I just have to keep up with taking him. But that is a hard task for a little boy who is OH so busy!! Congrats to my little man. Mommy is so proud of you!

Jackie Rose , Willie and I made Daddy some peanut butter cookies. Jackie would roll the cookie , Willie would smash the cookie, and Mommy would sprinkle suger on the cookie. It was a great bonding moment for us. My babies had fun and they looked super cute!

Oktoberfest 2008

The O'Connell family gang got together for Ft. Myers Oktoberfest. We had a blast. All the kids loved the rides . I enjoyed watching how happy the kiddos were. Rachel put on a brave face and rode a ride with me that went upside down and around and up and down again, UHH. We both were praying for that ride to end. She said she thought she was going to throw up, and I yelled DON'T, cuz it would have been all over us. She made it through. We had a blast. Willie had fun jumping on the moon bounce, Jack loved the swings, and Will and I loved seeing the smile on our kids face!!! We enjoyed our family and some beer!!! YUMMY.

Burke Nursery Field Trip

Jackie had her first every kindergarten field trip to Burke Nursery. Willie and I got there 2 hours before them and were able to have some great quality time together! He is growing so fast. I can't believe he will be 2 in January. He was happy to see his sister when their school finally arrived. We enjoyed eating lunch with them, going on a hay ride and playing with all the cool slides, swings, and boats. They even had some animals to look at. Willie and I left before Jackie did, so he enjoyed picking out his own pumpkins on the way out. I think he thinks they are balls and is waiting for them to bounce. We were very lucky he didn't break any on the way out!

Willies favorite dirt pile! He found some treasure too.
I just love this picture

That's my boy, always going for those rocks.
