USMC Historic 1/2 Marathon..

Will, Kathy, and I signed up to run the first ever usmc marathon. We were really motivated after we ran the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving day. That was only a 5k. the USMC marathon was 13.1 miles. Will had planned to run , and he ran fast!!! Kathy and I just wernt thinking we would run. She had pulled her ham string about 6 weeks ago and was still healing. Me , well I haven't had a moment to even run and prepare for this. So we were really thinking we would just run two miles and then meet will at the end and cheer him on. Turns out my crazy mother in law got the bug, 40 seconds before they started the race that we should run the race. And Run we did! UHHH. We ran allot of the race, and did some speed walking too! It was amazing, and boy we pushed our bodies to points we didn't think existed! Poor Will was waiting for us at the end of the race, and we were no where to be found. He ran in about 1 hour 50 mins. In the last 3 miles, I told Kathy to go ahead. She had struggled in miles 6-8 , and man I struggled bad at miles 11-13! So in the end Kathy ran in about 3:18 and me in 3:23. When I finally ran over that finish line, Will was waiting right there. He said , Babe, and hugged and kissed me. He had tears in his eyes, and was so proud of me. Man I have to say I am so proud of me! But the PAIN, the PAIN. I could hardly walk that day, and yesterday I hurt so bad! I couldn't even drive Jackie to school. But today is better. Don't get me wrong, I am still sore, but I can function. I had my parents to come over and help me w/ the kids! Man that was a big help! I told Will, I would rather have to give birth w/ no meds than feel the pain I was feeling from this race! OUCH. I am still waiting for Kathy's pictures, so these are from the usmc website. Sorry they are so small! Enjoy!

Some of my favorite moments..

I haven't kept up with my blogging lately. I feel I have missed out on updating everyone on Willie man! He has been doing so well. He is so full of energy. He loves to play, jump on his sister, and even pull her hair. We have to really work on his interacting skills! But as much of a handful my little man is, uhhh, he is worth every moment! Since getting his tubes put in, he has grown into a different kid. He is so curious and you can tell he can hear so much better! Man he loves to bang those pots and pans! This week he did have a fever, and now has roseolla. Poor boy, but I think we are over the hump! He is napping now, so enjoy the pictures!

This is the first time he fell asleep in his car seat facing forward , poor baby!
My favorite picture of Willie. You can see the plugs we have to put in his ear during bath time!

Yes, my boy loves his sister scooter. He thinks he is such a big boy!

Annual Mother Daughter Tea

I am sorry this post is out of order! But better late than never right. Mom, Alex, Jackie Rose , and I went to my church's annual Mother / Daughter Tea. It was fun as always. Mom even won a sleep over basket. It was full of fun games and things to entertain you for a fun sleep over. (guessing the little girls will get to keep some of stuff)

Jackie Rose is so sweet!

"O" Baby...

Ok, this is the 4th baby shower I have been to in about a month and a half, and I have to say its been so much fun. I love to celebrate babies. My brother/sister in law are having their second child due late June! And it's a BOY. All the shower I have been to, all the babies to be are all BOYS. Guess its the year for boys. I have to let you ladies know how much fun those little boys can be. But man oh man, they are some work. You will never get to sit down and put your feet up again! By the time they go to bed you are falling into your own bed! So get ready for all that exercise people! They are so sweet, but they can work you to the bone!

Mother's Day, only if it were EVERYDAY!

Mother's Day was nice! I woke up to Jackie Rose saying , Mommy come down stairs and open your presents. So I did, I got a spa day at the Red Door Spa. Man, I have to say I earned that one! Jackie made me a bracelet and a little jewelry box! She also wrote me a card, and said Happy Mothers Day! I love you. All by herself! My baby is getting so big. Then we were off to the Westfields Marriott famous brunch. The food was amazing and the company was wonderful! Mother's day is always so wonderful. The kiddos and the husband are always on their best behavior. Everyone stops and listens to what I want or need. Man , then you wake up the next day and its like that day was just a dream. Back to the daily grind. Any who, Mother's day was great. Enjoy the pictures.

My goddaughters 1st Communion.

What a special day for Rachel. She worked so hard in her classes to understand the importance of her first communion! She is such a smart little girl. Will and I watched her walk down the isle to her seat. I swear we has some thoughts of how this is what it will be like when she is walking down the isle to meet her husband ,UHHHHH. As she sat down, the priest reminded us all the importance of having a strong relationship with God. We watch Rachel's face as she listened. Then it was time, our little goddaughter was growing up, she stood up and took her first Holy Communion. We are so blessed to be apart of her life, and cant wait to make more special memories with her!

Isn't she lovely!
