2nd Annual Holiday Cookie Exchange!

Since moving back to Va last year I have started my own tradition. I have thrown my very own cookie exchange. The past two holiday seasons I have had about 12 of my closet friends and family join me in some holiday cheer, and of course good eatin'! Everyone bakes their hearts out, making 6 cookies per guest and 12 cookies for the table for sampling! Next year I think we will move to 3 cookies per guest to cut back on the baking. But man, eating great cookies is always a great time in my book. I love getting together with all my ladies! Everyone means so much to me and well, any excuse I can get to spend time with them, I will use it! I took some pictures with my moms camera, so once i get those I will post those too!!!! Happy holidays!

Charlie is finally here!

My sister finally had her baby December 12th! She gave birth to her forth child, Charles Alexander Savage Habib! He is a doll baby and is so small, weigh in at 7 pounds 1 ounce. My sister Debbie and I were able to be in the room with Penny and Richard. It was absolutely amazing. I mean I have had two children of my own, but being in the room, watching someone give birth was a totally different experience. I couldn't believe my own eyes. What an amazing moment to share with my two best friends. Charlie came into the world with only 3 pushes. Guess my sis is a pro! Anyways , if you ever get the chance to watch someone close to you have a baby, do it! I still am in awe of the beauty of birth, and that little mans life! I broke my camera, so I don't have any pictures on my puter to down load for you all. I am waiting for everyone to email me so and up they will go for you guys! Welcome to the family Charlie!!!! Happy 65th Birthday Daddy!

What a wonderful way to celebrate a birthday ,,, with family! I am so thankful to have the chance to live in VA so that I can help my family celebrate their birthdays. We all went to Carabbas for dinner and man we were stuffed! Dad and mom were so happy to be surrounded by all of their children. My dad is a wonderful , loving , and caring man! He has taught me to be opened minded, to care for others, to love family and God, to always remember to try my hardest. Man I love you daddy. Your the best! Hope you had a great birthday, I know we had fun celebrating your special day with you!

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

This Thanksgiving we celebrated at Bryan and Sara's new townhouse! What a wonderful meal they prepared! Will, Kathy, Willie, Jackie Rose, Sara, Emma , and I all did the Chantilly Turkey Trot! It was a 5k or a 2 mile walk. Will, Kathy , the kids and I ran the race. While Sara and her family walked. It was rough I tell you. You may think 3 miles isn't to far but if you aren't a runner man it can kick your butt! But I made it over that finish line! I was so proud! But man I was yelling and screaming the entire run! I have to get in gear for my 1/2 marathon in 6 months! Say lots of prayers for me!! Lord knows I will need them!

Don't eat it all with out us man~

It was so cute to see their plates full of turkey sandwiches, cheetos, fruit, and desserts. She had a great time with her friends. I had a blast watching my baby all grown up! My how time has flown by so fast!

Happy Birthday Marines!

Will and I along with my parents went to Will's last USMC ball. It was very bittersweet for the both of us! We love the corps, it is apart of who we are. It is in our blood. But the time has come for our lives to go in a different direction. So in about 9 months Will will get out of the corps and move onto the corporate world. No more deployments, no more raising the babies on my own, having a husband home at night to hold me! Man what an amazing thing. I know most cant begin to understand why having having husband take our your trash, mow your lawn, deal with car issues, bbq some chicken, or just having him raise your children can make you so estactic. But after dealing with months and months of being on your own, watching your child do everything for the first time , wondering if your husband would come home, having chills every time the door bell rang for fear it would be a man in uniform coming to tell you the worst possible news, you cant wait for the day when your in the clear , no more deployments and a husband thats home, that completes your family!

Sorry for getting so deep. Dont know how the blog ended that way. The ball was great, and sharing it with my parents was awesome! The secretary of defense spoke and did an amazing job. The food was amazing and so was dessert! Hope you all enjoy the pictures.

My Husband Rocks!!!
My husband ran his heart out the other weekend. He ran the Marine Corps marathon which, if you don't know, is 26.2 miles long. Way to long for my legs to run. His mother and I ran all over DC meeting him and cheering him on! Our adrenaline was pumping hard. I am so proud of Will. He was doing a great job at 10 mile mark, he wasn't even sweating! Then we were to meet him at the 15 mile mark, but we JUST missed seeing him. So we haled butt over to the 19 mile mark and he was sore, but man he was still kickin'. Then it was off to the finish line, were my heart filled with so much pride and joy for my husband. What an accomplishment. He ROCKS! I wish everyone could have been there. It was an amazing moment for us all. We are even going to run the USMC 1/2 marathon in June. (Yes I am crazy but so excited to do something with Will that he loves) Hope you all enjoy the pictures!

This was a great moment, to see Will in one piece and still kicking. He did such a great job. All the finishers get a USMC marathon finisher metal!

My man running at the 19 mile mark heading for the finish!

Taking a drink.

Man isn't he a cutie!

Will eating an orange at the 10 mile mark.

Telling me he lost all of his ID and cell phone at the 10 mile mark. UHH I cancelled it all but was late to see him at the 15 mile mark because of it boo hoo. Someone ended up turning it all in though!
AWE, isn't that sweet!

My WINNER!

Damn, my man is HOT!

The good Lord was shining his sunshine on us all day! It was perfect weather!

The happy and oh so proud wife !

It was great having Will's mom running around DC chasing after Will with me!
