I am not ignoring you!!!

Ok, to all of my friends, I am not ignoring you. I have been going through so much lately, I am lucky to be standing! For a month straight, I have had sick people in my house. First Will, then Jackie, then Willie, back to Jackie, back to Will. Then we left for the beach for ONE GLORIOUS, NO ONE SICK week. Then we get home and Willie turns up with Mouth, hand and foot disease. That is what we have been fighting with for over a week! IT SUCKS. Willie finally ate yesterday after not eating for 3 whole days. It was a struggle to get him to drink liquids. He wouldn't take a bottle and could only drink from a straw. He has/had blisters on his tongue, rash on the rough of his mouth, blisters on his bottom, and on his feet. It was so bad the other day he could barley walk. I tell you , pray for us, that Jackie Rose doesn't get this! Its the worst. And to top it off there is nothing you can do but wait it out! No one sleeps, and all your baby does is cry. Its horrible! So I just haven't had the energy to call and catch up with everyone. I am sorry. I hope you can understand. I , being the MOM, have been hard at work taking care of all the sick ones. The moment everyone is good to go, I AM OUT OF HERE. I am going out w/ the gals and getting a much needed BEER! Its gotten so bad, I have decided when people ask how the family is, I am going to say great! The end of story! I swear I can depress myself just by telling the stories! So know I love you guys! And soon, I will be back to my normal self, good lord willing! I think I caught up w/ the blog too. Just need to post some good beach pictures! Oh and yes, I am still job hunting.

Oh Will started his NEW job today. I will post on that , once I get to hear all the fun details!

Bethany Beach!!!

I have tons of pictures to download of us at the beach! But here are a few. We went on our annual Bethany beach trip. I hate leaving that place. One of these day I WILL have a beach house there! I think I may re decorate my house to make it more a beachy feel! I just cant get enough. Its funny, when I did live next to the beach, I could take it or leave it. Now that I don't , I need it!! It started out rough, but ended up being a great family trip. Cant wait for next year.

A True Friendship...

Alicia finally got to come into town! Of course I had to see her! There was only one day that would work for either of us. So we meet at our favorite place, Cheesecake!!!! It was great to catch up! Will was sick, So I had to bring Willie along w/me . But it was nice that Alicia got to see how big Willie is getting! I love ya lady! You are a true 1/6 hard women! I am proud of how tough you have been through these deployments! You Rock!

Farewell to the Marine Corps..

We had a Farewell for Will at the USMC Museum in their Tun Tavern. He was so excited to see were his party was going to be! It was more than I could have imagined! I had been planning this day for so long, and for it to finally be here, WOW! Thank you to all who helped me! Sarah and Ryan , your invitations were amazing. People are still talking about how amazing their were! We wished you could have been there. You are apart of our family, have touched our lives more than you can imagine! We are better people having had you apart of our lives. I asked Will when the party was over , if it was everything he could have imagined. He said of course, but I really wished the Thorntons could have been there. OH it tugged at my heart! We love you guys!!! When we walked into the museum, you were greeted at the Tun Tavern Door with a big picture of Will from Paris Island boot camp. On the same table was a book of pictures from the beginning of Wills USMC Career until now. I had everyone sign the book. What a great way to remember the day! Walking into the Tavern was amazing. I thought it would be neat to say good bye to the corps in a place were a few guys were drinking beer and decided to start the Marine Corps. It was full of our friends and family that have supported us through our military career. Will and I were trying to take in every moment. I had said a few words before we cut the cake. Which was designed by my sister in law , Kathy! Thank YOU!!! I had told Will, Thank you! Thank you for being a wonderful husband, father, and kick ass marine. I am so proud of him. The past 10 years have been a wonderful journey. I feel so blessed to have had him by my side! Of course there were some tears, but I just blamed it on my beer! tee hee hee. All in all it was an amazing night. Everyone had left, and it was just Will and I sitting at the bar. Taking in the moment. We walked out to the main lobby. Which is open to a plane , tank, and famous pictures of Marines. We held each other , and just said nothing. We new how each other were feeling. So emotional. What an amazing journey. What great friends we met along the way. What great lesions we learned. What an amazing life , and now, today, we start another chapter in our life! I cant wait to start our new journey with my amazing family.

There is no other feeling like it. I have been going to Sunset Parades at the Iwo Jima Memorial since I was a Little girl! You get to hear the Marine Corps band play amazing music. You also get to see the silent drill team. If you have yet to see them, its an amazing site for sure! Surprisingly Will had never been to a parade. I got to sit back and watch him. It was very emotional for he and I. Getting out of the Corps was a hard decision to make. It is apart of us, and its sad to move on. But any who, the Sunset Parade was amazing. Jackie enjoyed herself. My mom ran up to Mr. Webb and had him sign Wills book. So everyone ended up having a blast!

And for all you ladies that have had babies,,,, Yes Erin was wearing her NORMAL cloths just 3 weeks after having her baby. @#$#@$@# @#$@#$! You know I love you but come on!!! I am still sitting on 40 pounds. Guess I have some catching up to do!

Will, Willie, Jackie Rose, Poppa, and Paulie headed off to NYC to see family. We had a great time! Poppa got to see Hoboken, were he grew up. We got to catch up with family. We even got to meet the brand new Michael William! It was tuns of fun, and ended to fast!
